Description
GLP-1 receptor agonist for type 2 diabetes and obesity
Semaglutide is a synthetic GLP-1 receptor agonist, a glucagon-like peptide-1 analog that mimics the effects of naturally occurring GLP-1. Enhances insulin secretion in response to meals while suppressing glucagon release, leading to improved glycemic control. Delays gastric emptying and acts on appetite centers in the brain, contributing to reduced food intake and significant weight loss. Effective in reducing HbA1c levels and supporting sustained metabolic health improvement.
